Overpaid Index of NBA Player Salaries?
I think developing a graph of index comparing a player’s actual NBA salary vs how much they should be paid based on their statistical output. It would be a nice component for my research on How to Build an NBA Dynasty.

The OER Turn
is a blog post Joe sent me to read. I enjoyed reading Thomas’s thought “The OER Turn is characterised by the working through of the following topics: * visible and invisible use * the importance of licensing * the role of the university”. She didn’t come to many conclusions in the post, moreso she was framing the right discussion for OER going forward.

Implementing my PLN via Paragogy
Thinking over the week’s reading (particularly liked Howard’s posterous post), forum discussions and the live session I’ve attended, PLNs are pretty sweet. I think I’ve been unconsiously developing/using a PLN my whole life, but it’d be better if I *consciously* did so going forward. Aside from being wise for my own learning it fits with one my professional ambition,...

By “augmenting human intellect” we mean increasing the capability of a man to approach a complex problem situation, to gain comprehension to suit his particular needs, and to derive solutions to problems.

This is especially true managing info online, but is just as true with off-line information (e.g. who do you network with, what books...

Video games to teach English
Use videogames to teach English, with the key being that to advance in the game you have to improve your English skills. e.g. to get to the next level, you have to get information from an English speaker.
Game has to be good enough that kids are motivated to get through it.
SHouldn’t be marketed as an English game either, just as a game.
